How it works
Define the Space, Not the Object
Instead of training on specific parts, you simply define the volumes that must stay clear from several directions. Setup is fast and intuitive, with no contrast, lighting, or feature teaching required.
Two-Stage Detection
A two-stage evaluation first finds larger foreign objects, then refines to catch smaller ones. The detection grid scales in both directions, so the same approach reliably finds anything from large obstructions down to millimeter-scale debris.
Robust 3D Measurement
High-power sensing keeps the measurement stable against ambient light, for high image quality and dependable results. ClearSpace works with the VMT DeepScan sensor range, from simple to high-power 3D sensors and laser-line sensors on a linear axis, matched to the size of object that matters.

Scalable from Coarse to Fine
The same system covers a quick "is this volume free?" check and high-resolution detection of the smallest parts. Sensor choice and grid settings set the level of detail, so ClearSpace fits both simple clearance tasks and safety-critical fine inspection.
Clear Visual Feedback
Detected objects are shown directly in the software and on the line's operator terminal. Where the setup allows, they can even be projected onto the object itself, marking the exact spot in the real scene. Operators see immediately what was found and where, and can respond without external experts
Standalone or Add-On
ClearSpace runs as an independent solution or as an add-on to other VMT vision systems, all on the shared MSS platform. Existing installations can gain clearance checking without a separate system.
