VMT will be exhibiting in Darmstadt this year. At booth 44, we will present solutions for demanding inspection processes in the life science industry.

Under the heading “High-end inspection for life science processes”, VMT will showcase solutions covering environmental monitoring, inspection and automated counting. HYPOSCREEN™ automates microbiological monitoring for maximum efficiency and safety. Our inspection solutions enable reliable quality control of products and packaging and can be applied to a wide range of processes. In addition, our automated counting solutions provide reliable and flexible counting of vials, ampoules and cartridges.

Presentation: AI-Based Environmental Monitoring

One of the highlights of VMT’s presence at PharmaLab is the presentation by Dr Frank Grünewald. It will focus on how artificial intelligence and camera-based systems can make environmental monitoring more efficient, reliable and fully compliant with data integrity requirements.

AI-Based Environmental Monitoring: From Manual Plate Reading to Fully Automated, Data-Integrity-Compliant Workflows

The presentation will:

  • highlight current challenges in pharmaceutical environmental monitoring, especially inefficiency, staff dependency, and data integrity risks of manual plate reading
  • introduce an AI-driven, camera-based system that images and evaluates standard plate formats in seconds
  • describe modular configurations from manual stations to fully automated setups, seamlessly integrating into existing lab workflows
  • demonstrate GMP/21 CFR Part 11 compliance, validation readiness, LIMS/barcode connectivity, and real-world gains in speed, reproducibility, and traceability

Date: November 25, 2026
Time: 1:45–2:15 p.m.
Speaker: Dr Frank Grünewald

We look forward to interesting conversations, new insights and meeting you in Darmstadt.
