Casting & machining inspection

  • Cylinder heads, crankcases, and camshafts are cast and then machined.
  • Inline measurement directly in the production cycle, complete CAD referencing without reclamping.
  • Surface inspection for casting defects, dimensional inspection after machining, and completeness check of holes and threads.

  • Every engine undergoes a computer-controlled cold test – resistance, compression, and tightness are checked.
  • Error prevention before the costly test run, complete traceability.
  • Completeness check before the test (are all plugs, hoses, and screws in place?) and readability of serial numbers.

Stator & rotor inspection

  • Stator and rotor are the core components of the e-motor – winding geometry and surface quality are safety-critical.
  • Detection of the smallest alignment errors before joining, prevents scrap after the welding process.
  • Inspection of hairpin alignment and insulation integrity before welding, surface inspection for defects.

E-motor assembly verification

  • The stator is pressed into the housing, the rotor is inserted, and bearing shields are mounted – axial joining operations with tight tolerances.
  • Inline inspection in axially hard-to-access installation spaces, closed control loop to the application unit.
  • Position measurement and verification after each joining step, sealant bead inspection on the housing.

Electrode foil inspection (coating & slitting)

  • Current collector foils are coated with active material, dried, and slit – with rolls several hundred meters long.
  • High‑speed inspection in the running roll‑to‑roll process, defect localization with exact coordinates.
  • 100% inspection of the coating for cracks, missing areas, uneven thickness, and cut‑edge quality.

Cell inspection

  • Individual cells are checked for surface quality, geometry, and marking before they are stacked into modules.
  • 3D inspection even of highly glossy cell surfaces, complete traceability via cell ID.
  • Detection of cracks, dents, edge chipping, deformations, and readability of cell IDs.

Busbar weld seam inspection

  • Busbars connect the battery cells electrically – the weld seam is critical for safety and function.
  • Inline inspection without cycle time loss, quantitative weld evaluation as a basis for process control.
  • Inspection of the laser weld seam for completeness, geometry, and defects such as pores or undercuts.

Sealant & potting inspection in module assembly (bead / potting)

  • Thermal interface materials, sealants, and potting compounds are applied between cells and module housing.
  • Direct feedback loop to the application robot, automatic rework, no manual inspection effort.
  • Inspection of bead completeness and geometry, detection of gaps and over‑application.
